Most startup advice is American advice.... And does not works in India....

In my 20s, I devoured startup advice.

Y Combinator essays. Paul Graham. First Round Review.

However, over the years, I have realised that it does not work for India. Most startup advice is American advice wearing a global costume. The examples are American. The assumptions are American. The market conditions are American.

"Move fast and break things" sounds great until your client is a PSU bank with 50,000 employees. Break something there, and you're blacklisted. Forever.

"Hire fast, fire fast" works in markets where people don't talk. In India, word travels.

"Growth at all costs" assumes someone else is paying the costs. When you're bootstrapped, costs are your runway.

"Product-led growth" assumes your buyer is your user. In B2B India, the person signing the cheque has never logged into your product and never will.

Building in India is different...

Its need More patience... More relationships... And ofcourse more cups of chai before a contract gets signed.
